Just a heads-up that this cafe, est. 1928 and located outside Dahlonega in north Georgia, now has a for lease sign in the window.

Rode up today, arriving 0800 to fuel up before another weekend morning's early ride to find it shut down. :frown2:

Oh well, I guess there's always the Wagon Wheel for breakfast.

Not that Turner's had anything I knew of on the b'fast menu to die for, but it was convenient, quaint and friendly.

Anybody else in the habit of Sat. or Sun. early morning rides in the No. Ga. mountains???

Sad news

We stopped there in heavy rain in May 2013 for a much needed break and enjoyed great food for lunch. Sad news to see another historic landmark close.
It's another reminder to shop locally, spend your money in a way to support the locals not some huge multi-national company that pays minimum wage and does nothing for the community.

Ah, the places that ain't here no mo. We all miss 'em.
There was a cafe, the Bon Ton in Bear Valley on Hwy 49 in Calif. Great buffet on Sundays served up family style by a gourmet chef..
All gone now. Wah.
