give some thought to the PCFC. They work great if you need one. It only can help the low end running because there is plenty of fuel in the mixture above that.So try the new ECM and if it runs well, good enough!
The TRE is another matter. It only affects 5th and 6th gears. The ads are misleading, and if you don't read the fine print you will think your bike is restricted in the lower gears, which it is not. It's the top speed they are trying to control to keep us alive. OK, I use a TRE but not for top speed. Mostly passing acceleration and such. You can remove the secondaries or not. You will not likely feel the difference. I took mine out "just in case". Of what, I don't know (smile). Which TRE is not important. It need not be "smart". You can make one pretty easily. Have fun. Bob
PS: If you change to a performance pipe, you will need either a yosh treatment or PCFC.
Hey all, I am in the market for a replacement battery for my Wee. I've greatly enjoyed the benefits of Lithium based batteries in my off road bikes, but the benefits for that application are significantly greater than for a Wee since (a) the weight savings is a more significant portion of the...
I have a 2012 DL650 with OEM heated grips. The only two times I've used them, the left grip gets really toasty and the right one is only luke-warm.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Are there any suggestions for troubleshooting?
I'd like to take care of this before the weather turns.
I'm going to have to buy or fabricate some sort of tool tube/tool box to fit with the OEM miniscule side cases. I'm just beginning my search so I thought I would post a thread of inquiry to see if anybody here has come up with any good ideas. There are a plethora of great ideas for the larger...
I did alittle "cutting-up" today while in the shop.....while everyone else was out Black-Fridaying.
If you look closely on a 650 Wee, there is lots of un-used space between the rear side cowlings (L & R) and the frame. I have stowed away some spare levers, patch kit, and even a bicycle-type...
