Anyone up for a ride on Tuesday?

Starting out around Windsor area, or maybe Penrith, or maybe Dural.

Whatever suits, depending on who is interested.

Destination/duration is open.

Not sure. I am looking at moving from my P38A Range Rover to the later L322 so will be looking at/trying some out. I'm awaiting calls from owners.

This is typical of what I want:

Hey Ron, make sure you buy something that can carry all our gear to Cameron's Corner and beyond!

Is this off thread

His Buell was an 1125R - one of the Rotax-powered ones - not the HD ones.

He's asked me how much I want for the Strom. My wife has suggested I buy myself a new one.

I'm still undecided on whether I keep the Strom or the XJR. My wife is selling her CB400 as she is now on Warfarin and we don't want any bleeds in an accident.

Yeah, that happens sometimes Bob.

Ok, will do Graham [maybe a non ride oriented social lunch or dinner one weekend for the group, and partners/kids, cars ok].

Priority Ron, you and I both know about that at the moment.

Yippie beans or briquettes from a passing truckie will do the trick, although there is probably newer stuff these days [just joking people, say no to drugs].

Well actually, I have Wednesday off too, but Tuesday's weather looked better so I thought I'd try for that.

Shhhhhh, don't tell the mods.
It's not really off topic if you were thinking we could do a day ride to Cameron's Corner with Ron bringing up the rear with a Rangie full of beer and food supplies. :green_lol::green_lol::green_lol:

I can join for a short ride as long as I'm home by, say, 12:30pm.

I went anyway

Well.......I got started a bit late.

From home I headed up to North Richmond and the back way to Bowen Mountain then in through Kurrajong and out on to the
Bell's Line and stopped at Bilpin for a light lunch.

The current temperature is showing at the top left corner of my phone, yes it does say 4 deg., on the way to a top of 7 deg. up there
[don't you just love modern technology? Now you can actually confirm you are freezing your arse off :frown: ].

At least I had a little sunshine while I was stopped.

I was contemplating going through to Lithgow to check out the local bike shops and farm machinery suppliers
[I'm still looking for an Ag bike to use for trail rides in the mountains packed with a tent and some camping gear].

But by the time I got to Mount Charles the temperature had DROPPED noticeably :yikes:

So I turned around and headed back, looping off at Comleroy road towards the Putty Road I then meandered my way down to
Freeman's Reach and back home.

Although fairly cool, I had a good ride with little traffic.
There were plenty of winding sections and the roads were dry.

I really must get my head around the fact that winter is officially here
and wear warmer gear, a T-shirt under the jacket and my summer mesh riding pants just aren't enough these days :headbang:

Maybe I will buy some better deodorant, then you blokes might actually come along when I post a ride :yesnod:
:green_lol::green_lol::green_lol::green_lol:

Actually I know you all had other commitments, thanks for the responses and phone calls regarding the ride.

I might do a day ride out to the Bucko Says HTFU Rally at Mt. Panorama on Saturday. It's a 2-day rally (originally in remembrance of my son) but I'd only go for one.

Ock,with the modern thermals available these days there is no need to freeze on a ride, light layers is what it is all about, gloves? is there such a thing as a good winter glove that you can still clutch and brake in?
