I received my new windshield from Cee Bailey today. I put it on the bike and was excited to try it out. Put on the riding gear, jumped on the bike, and started backing it out of the garage when I noticed the mirrors were hitting th ewindshield when I would turn the handlebars towards the stops :(. I called Cee Bailey's, they said they will have to make me a new windshield and would call me in the next few days to let me know when it will be ready.

While I'm disappointed that it wasn't right, it seems they are more than willing to make it right. I'll let you know how it goes.

Cee Bailey said they have made changes to the design and will ship me a new windshield next Tuesday. Can't complain about the customer service. Hope the new windshield works.

Yes, the CeeBailey windshield is approx. 4 in wider and has cut-outs to provide clearance for the mirrors when handlebars are at full lock. The problem with my original Cee Bailey shield is the cut-outs were too high, approx. 4-5 in too high and the mirrors hit at the widest point. I am interested to see how much they change the design on the next one.[/quote]

Unfortunately I had more than a little. The mirrors would have been useless if I would have moved them to the point they didn't hit the windshield. When did you get yours? When I called about the problem (4/13/04) it sounded like they had just realized there was a problem with their design. My replacement shipped on Monday, so I should get it tomorrow.

I got my replacement windshield today from Cee Bailey. No problems with this as far as fit. Weather is too crappy to test out. Cee baileys is a class act when it come to customer service.

Installed my Cee Bailey tall windshield last nite. It fit great, no interferance with the mirrors. Set the shield at the lowest possition. Seems to work well, but i will have to get used to looking through it, not over. I am 5-6 and ordered the 23 1/2 in version. Helped to stop the buffeting and can hear the engine and exhaust a lot better. Rode into work this morning with it, the temp was 30 degrees, and it does provide better protection than the stock one. All in all, i am happy with it, it is a good quality product, and fit just right. By the way, it looks like the shield can be adjusted all the way to the top position without interfering with the mirrors. Happy Riding!
