I commute down to Santa Monica in the mornings and leave in the late evenings and I've found that when it is especially cold (25-40 F) or wet (fair amount of condensation on seat when I get out of class), the bike splutters and dies when I push the starter the first time, but when the fuel injection re-primes and I restart it, it starts perfectly. What gives? Should I change the oil type to account for the temp or something similar? I run 10w-40 Castrol if that matters and its not low--I checked.

And is there anything I can do to prevent the seat from becoming soaked in the evenings and early mornings? It isn't raining or anything but it is soaking wet everytime I get out of class and I hate having a wet butt. Any products to counteract this?

Thanks!
