I just ordered a set of oxford heaterz(the grip style-not wraparounds) and the throttle side looks a bit long. has anyone trimmed these safely?

I trimmed mine a bit, just trim the soft rubber and you should be fine.

thanks man. they went on a little tough because i have a knurled throttle tube and knurled bar on the clutch side. a little wd40 helped. i didn't need to trim at all. thankfully. the grips get warm on hi if you're wearing thick gloves. thin gloves with hi on they are hot. nice product. plug and play setup:)

I took a dremel to both my throttle tube and the knarled bar side of clutch, yes the Oxford grips are a nice product and work as advertised.

I installed mine and had to grind down the throttle tube aswell. I also installed new bars aswell. I went with the Pro-taper fatys 1 1/8
The grip seem to work really well. They cheeped out on the connectors tho, but for the price you cant really bet it.

You could leave thte grip as it is and replace the weights by smaller that fit INTO the grip. Did that (at first as a temporary solution) and i'm happy about it.
Oh,... installed it on a FatBar,... but that's the same size at the hand grips,...
