I need new tires for my '07 650A. I'm sure 10 people will have 11 opinions as to which are the best, but I want to hear your experiences.
I live in the Pacific Northwest and ride in a fair bit of rain. I ride 99% pavement. Don't know what other factors to consider.

Michelin Pilot Road, it's a street tire that's great on wet pavement. There is a tire section here that covers everything you want to know.

There is a rebate of $75 dollars going on if you buy a qualifying set of Dunlops. The tire guy at the shop recommended Trail Smarts that qualify for the rebate. Check out Dunlop's website for more details. Just a thought towards saving money. This influenced my decision.

At the risk of incurring certain members wrath...

Use the forum search function. There are lots of tire threads, lots.
Sure you'll get some replies to your post but you can look through hundreds (if you want).

There's a wealth of collected wisdom available. Take advantage of it!

Doubtless. However, after attempting a search I found nothing. My Google-fu must be weak. Either that or accessing via Tapatalk on my cell phone doesn't provide me with the same functionality as a desktop...

Awesome thanks. Where is that section/how do I find it?

I have used Shinko street tires quite a bit and been very pleased. For my last set of tires, I just put on Pirelli Angel GTs and while I didn't like the price I love the tires. They are a little less than Michelin's. I rode from Annapolis to Xenia, OH yesterday and was in rain on highways from Annapolis to Cumberland. Kept the speed around 60mph and had no problems. I am eager to learn how long these last. I got 20k miles out of my Shinkos. Hopefully, I will get similar, if not better results from the Angels.

To search the site make sure you use the top search button - magnifying glass icon - and not the one below it and labeled "search." That is a google search. The magnifying glass searches our site. Maybe that is why you didn't find what you were looking for?

+1

Searching from the Google home page is more effective than the forum Google box. Like this:
