Just thought some of you might get a chuckle out of this. The guy that bought my vstrom is thinning the herd to keep them from jumping out at him, he is also parading it through the woods for all it's cousins to take notice.

Good one Paul!

Strom kills deer is a perfect example of the man bites dog journalism genre.

About a year ago, wife and I were riding very very early in Alabama on 84, and all I could see was dozens of eyes looking at me. I could not believe how many forest rats were on the back roads.
That is the reason I have a personal rule not to ride after dark. I've been pretty nervous the few times I've broken that rule. Including in Nova Scotia...which leads me to ask, didn't you just go up there?

Yes to Maine for a week or so, and I hated the tenere seat, so I , I , I flew there, ok I said it. I had my seat mailed to Russell and I am on the frame for the past month. Maine is my summer home, and where I lived for 27 years.

I don't see any shooting iron on the bike. Did he jump off the bike and wrestle it into submission?
It doesn't look particularly happy perched up there.
Good thing that area isn't infested with moose or he might have to get a bit bigger bike.

The reason we rode in the middle of the night was the motel we were staying in was a having prostitution week special, and there was not much sleeping to be had. Really pissed, I packed up and left.

Guess that explains why I've seen no ride report from you. Dang, that sucks...and so does the Tenere seat  I only survived my 2 week / 4,500+ mile trip with the help of an Air Hawk. I don't want to hijack your thread, do you have another thread going on the Russell situation? I'm real interested in finding a better solution.

Sounds like my hotel in Eureka, CA about 10 days ago. They hit me up when I went to the store (FYI $2 is the going rate :yikes: ), knocked on my door at the hotel etc. Unlike you, I locked myself in and left early in the a.m. before they awoken from their slumber.
