I did search and there are a few posts about handlebars, but none really hit what I am asking.

I have a Vee, and I am 6'9" with really wide shoulders (ex-football lineman). If I ride longer than a half hour on my vee, I get serious pain in my wrists from the sharp angle I must twist them at to hold onto the handlebars.

The solution appears to be to buy a new handlebar that is straight or straighter than the stock.

When I go to my local motorcycle shops, they only have one or two to try out, and neither seem much better.

Is "pullback" definitely related to that angle? AKA lower pullback equals less sharp angle?

I don't care about height- the stock bar height is fine, although a little lower wouldnt hurt so I can have a little more lean (I'm used to sport bikes, what can I say). Just need less of a backwards angle to save my wrists.

Where can I find a decent selection of handlebars to hopefully find one that has much less of an angle? Any other tall/wide riders find any they like? I did find one website that said the wee has a 8" pullback and the v has a 9 1/2" pullback, with all other things the same. Would I probably be good just getting a wee handlebar?

In some other posts I've read people say "go to the site and it tells you how it differs from your stock bars" but I can't figure out "what the site is". I went to protaper.com and other handlebar sites, but theres been nothing like that at any of them?!?!?

I'm about the same build as you and had a hell of a time figuring out what bars would work best. I started my search with a cheap Moose Cr-HI steel bar that we less than $20 after riding with that for a few months I had a point of reference so I could shop bars by the specs reletive to the Moose bar. I ended up with a Protaper Contour ATV High. and 50mm 1 1/8 risers. Keep in mind that the 7/8" ATV high and the 1 1/8" bars are very different bends the 1 1/8" being much less pull back.

I added the Rox risers to mine, just up, not back, and rotated my bars a little and found a happy medium. You're 1" taller than me. I don't have any idea about replacement bars--sorry. Cheers--BB
