In an unprecedented move, I'm taking up motorcycling in my middle age. (I did get licenced 25 years ago but then immediately mved to NYC and never rode much less owned a bike. Now I live in the north of England and have bit of time and a bit of money so why not?) The Wee appears to be a great fit for my intended use. But i have some questions about how far I will be able to push the ergonomics.

The thing is, I'm either too short or too tall. I'm 6'1" but my inseam is under 28". So while I won't have any issues pushing the bike around, I'm a bit concerned about having to be en pointe when stopped.

How much can I lower a wee without destroying it's handling? I know of the lowering links and differing seat heights, but what else can I look at? Suspension? Is it possible to make a custom seat that is both significantly lower and still comfortable for long touring?

And having lowered the bike, what knock on effects should I take into account? Presumably a bash plate will be even more necessary. Will a centerstand still be usable? (If it's just a matter of technique and strength I'll be OK.) Anything else?

same inseam here. lowering the bike does not adversely affect handling. in fact, it may improve it. you may scrape ground easier, but if that's the kind of riding you plan on you probably bought the wrong bike.

i ride a vee. removed the rubber bumpers under the seat, had seat customized a tad lower. not sure, but i've been told the bike was lowered by the PO. still, i barely can touch ground with both feet. simple resolution is to shift my butt over to one side when stopped.
