I own both TLR and 1k strom, that said they are essentially the same. Now I know some of the differences between the TLR and TLS are cast pistons and rods in the TLS and forged in the TLR. I'm pretty sure I never read anything about the heads being any different. So I'd guess that the differences would be similar. I'm pretty sure the cams are different too (not in journal size just the lobe seperation/duration). I don't think the computer matters much. you would probably want to get a power commander so you'll be able to program the FI map accordingly. I'd suggest the TRE, I've read on this site that some didn't notice a difference. But I know it does on the TLR, I just haven't put one on the strom yet. I will say from the outside the engines look identical except the location of the oil cap which is on the 10 o'clock on the TLR and 2 o'clock on the strom. I can't see any reason it wouldn't work, but at the same time I'm not sure they are different either.
