Wasn't sure if this was the right area to post, but here goes. I have seen some pictures of the Suzuki top box with a back rest pad mounted, but I am not able to find it as a Suzuki accessory. Does anyone know if it is or if it's just something an upholstery shop fabbed and installed.

Thanks for any assistance,

From what I have read people have regretted buying this contraption. If the passenger has a jacket with back armor/padding (your passenger -does- right?) you don't need that back rest pad. My passenger has not complained doing it this way.

"Backrest for Top-Case. P/N 990D0-06G48-005. Special backrest for Top-Case 48L." I seem to remember it was ~$45.

You got a good point there about the armor in the jacket. With a pad that might be just too much of a forward position. Thanks for the heads up.

Suzuki top box back rest pad

I have the Givi E52 top box and love the size...regardless the question! The pad I have for my box (any Givi top box) fits it perfect. Wife and I did a 250Km round trip and she has the armour and didn't complain. That being said, she is 5'2" and 100+/-lbs. It cost $80 Cdn through the dealership and they order direct from Givi. Try it without, and if the significant other doesn't complain save the cash or if she does...keep her happy and buy one! ;)
