Anyone have experience with the Suzuki factory heated grips? I have a 2023 650XT Adventure. I know aftermarket heated grips are less expensive, but I like that the factory ones supposedly plug into the existing wiring harness.

I had factory heated grips added to my 2020 1050XT when I got it last year. They are outstanding as far as heat production goes. Of course they look totally OEM, b/c they are. The control is super easy to use. They are plug-and-play which is great. They are not very soft, so I have gotten and will be installing these soon. They allow the heat to pass through but should add some comfort.

I considered the factory heated grips on both my Wee's over the years but ended up using the Oxford grips on both. They are super easy to connect as they have wiring that goes right to the battery, their own fuse and will turn themselves off when the bike is not running (sense the system voltage). They have a very nice control unit that is simple to use with a push button and mounts very nicely to the left side clutch handle mount where they are an easy one tough control. Used them for twelve years on one Wee and five more on another without an issue.

You do all know that the "factory" heated grips are most likely made by "someone else" rather than Suzuki. Heated grips are not rocket science. Stick with any good "name brand" that has good reviews and you will be fine. Avoid those $59 Chinese no-names you see on flea-bay and Amazon. You get what you pay for.
My 2018 came to me with OEM heated grips. They work fine, plenty of heat (for me) on the lowest setting. I also have Grip Puppies on.
Many find the grab on grip covers make the grips too big, oxford grips are already bigger than standard and the grab on make them that much bigger again.

I have been using cricket bat grip over my oxfords for many years, the oxfords start out hard and then over time they go sticky and wear out, the bat grip overcomes both problems without being too big.
My '16 Strom came with heated grips fitted. They work well albeit they increase the grip size slightly and I have small hands. The control switch looks very similar to Oxford style items tho.

I installed the OE ones on my 2021 650XT. Requires tank removal, air filter housing and a lot of the front beak and surrounding plastic panels but all the connections fit into the OE wiring harness easily. Need some handgrip glue on hand and brake cleaner to remove old glue residue. They work very well and mostly use them on the lowest setting during the winter.
