Well, there is the CDN - US exchange to consider. I mean, that CDN$300.00 is only worth about US$280.00, at today's rates.

I bought a used 2006 15-hp Mercury outboard a week or so ago for $2000 USD (shipping included) and even with the exchange rate premium charged by Visa my total was only $2158 CDN.

We're entering a new Golden Age of cross-border shopping... I love living near the border! :D

If you order from Oneida, you will likely incur significant shipping and brokerage fees. By the time you add in the exchange and taxes, you are not too much further ahead. I believe my Suzuki Gel Seat from Oneida ended up around $270 CDN after starting at about $142 US. :( This was about a year ago. The exchange is a little better now I think.

Ya, the shopping is great. Unfortunately, our company sells about 90% of our product to the States. This new, very strong, Canadian dollar is killing us.

With today's exchange rates the US$141.99 equals about CDN$145.14.

I would hope you wouldn't get dinged $125.00 for shipping and brokerage. Regardless, see if they will ship USPS. That should save the majority of the brokerage fees at least.

The other option, if you're not too far from the border, is to find a location in the States you can have it shipped and then go pick it up.

Can you say "kick-backs"?

Why the hell can't there be good a Canadian mail order business with fair prices? These Zuke parts aren't made in the US and with the strength of our dollar...
