A while back my stator burned up and caused a whole electrical problem that resulted with replacement of the stator, rectifier, and battery. The bike was only two months out of warranty and a few people from this forum suggested that I as Suzuki for a "good will" extension of the warranty. I wrote them a nice letter explaining the situation, but unfortunately, they were unable to offer me any compensation as it related to the repair. They were, however, kind enough to send me a check for $25 that I could use at any Suzuki dealership for parts and services. The total repair might have cost me over $500, but that was the best $25 I ever got. I really didn't expect a response, but they were nice enough feel my pain. That went a long way to making me feel good about owning a Suzuki motorcycle and I just wanted to say thanks.
