Not to jump all over Tallstrommer's ride but here is what I had planned. If any of the Barrie and area people want to go for a spin you're more than welcome. All people regardless of type of bike are welcome to attend (see I'm not elitist). There will be non-Strommers coming along.

Here is the link, http://www.blacktopriders.com/viewtopic.php?t=1693

Text is below incase the link doesn't work.

It's time for a fall colours ride and the ice cream that I have talked about all year and have yet to eat. I figured on talking 45 across to Norland / Kinmount then taking 3 up to near Haliburton. We'll get on 121 and take 4 over to Wilberforce then do Elephant Lake Rd, Algonquin Park then take 35 down to Dorset. We'll see what the tower is like, if there is a pile of tour buses full of Chinese folks we'll just head down to Minden for ice cream before heading back. We'll stop for lunch somewhere along the way.

Everyone is welcome to attend, the pace will be elevated but non-licence threatening.

Be at the Esso gas station at the corner of Essa and Ardagh at 8am sharp.

Hope to see a few people out, bring your cameras.

I did that ride last week and would love to do it again, but hockey season is here and my daughter has a 3pm game on Sunday (against Barrie).

I just did most of that route today actually. Colours in Algonquin are supposed to be at peak according to theweathernetwork. I have seen better though. I think next weekend will be better as long as there isn't a really windy or rainy storm this week. The best colours I saw were along Elephant Lake road heading east. That may also have been related to the way the sun was hitting the hills, but leaving me in shadows.

Anyways, enjoy your trip. Tomorrow I plan on making a stop at Crappy Tire, to pick up a good long breaker bar and a socket, then starting the chain replacement. Hopefully I'll be able to borrow a chain tool from one of the other riders at my church tomorrow, otherwise it will have to wait till later in the week when a co-worker receives his.
