Sorry, no pics, but...

Spent the last week in Tahoe. Rode up there via 88 all the way into Minden and then up 395 into Carson City where I stopped at Adventure Moto Stuff (www.amotostuff.com) and picked up a Wolfman tankbag. 88 is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous when you get up past Kirkwood right now. Then I took Kingsbury Grade down into South Lake Tahoe which was my base for the week.

OK, I know all of us in Central California absolutely love the Little Dragon, and for good reason. But if you have not ridden Kingsbury Grade, you are missing out. That road is AMAZING. I rode it in June for the first time with my brother but we were hampered by slow traffic. This time, I was on it in the middle of the day during the week and had it to myself. Ranks up there with one of my favorite roads. Going up the grade from Gardnerville to Tahoe is my favorite direction. Fantastically engineered and the surface is flipping amazingly smooth for a road spent snowbound and plowed all winter. :hurray:

Spent most of the week putting around with my family, taking the Subaru on some neat adventures to hidden lakes and such. Took a trip to the National Automobile Museum in Reno. $25 for the whole family and we had a blast. It's a really nice museum.

Rode home today via 89 to Ebbets Pass (hwy 4). More beauty to astound. This was my first time on this road on my bike and it did not disappoint. Very little traffic until I got down around Big Trees SP (one of my favorite places to visit BTW.)

So, if you have not ridden any of the passes this year yet... get out there and do it because time is running out! They are absolutely beautiful this year because of all the snow... everything is green and lush and the weather is absolutely fantastic right now.

Better yet, arrange it so you can somehow spend that time up there with your family as well and share the love!

Back to school in a week... but had a great summer of riding.

Nice! I took a day trip to Ebbetts & 88 back in June (shortly after Ebbetts opened)... and yah, Kingsbury Grade is one nice road, if a bit short.

I hope to head back up there later this month, if only to get out of this #&*(@ cold and foggy weather!!
