Does anyone have any tried and true suggestions for improving the braking performance of the DL1000? Braking is the only "weakness" I've found with my '05 (it's not really bad per se, but could be better). I'd like to improveve both the "feel" of the slightly wooden front brakes as well as their power. Do braided stainless lines help? Are there better front calipers that others have found? Obviously I don't want to overpower the skinny front or anything though.

Probably best to start off with better pads and braided lines. You might be satisfied without the expense of calipers.

I did the braided SS lines in front and rear and was disappointed. There was a noticable lack of improvement. Pads with the lines might be the ticket.

A new master cylinder is another cool idea, but what donor bikes and what years are another question. Black, any further info???

I can't see the reason for adding braided lines to the rear, unless you're going for bling.
