I'm not real good at recognizing different brands but it looks like some portion of the Athens Police Department ride on Stroms.

Look at the 8:41 am update of this link, showing a petrol cocktail very close to several motorcycles.

If not a Strom, what else?

Where do those Greeks get off, naming a city after a small town in Alabama.

They use BMW's here in my part of the world.

Athens PD may soon be forced to downsize to scooters.

Thats funny. The whole country is in turmoil, and you find a picture of a Stom in the middle of flames and only comment on that.

Hilarious.

Sure looks like your right too. Pretty distinctive lights on it.

Looks like the front wheel is on fire.

Mikenj:

Congratulations on your naturalization. My sister and I were naturalized awhile back and are both proud USA citizens. Born in Kavala. Hopefully we will be have a chance to get back in the next couple of years.

indeed the pic shows a Strom but it's not an official PD bike,
official bikes are white colored and have different decals.

FYI i think it's the other way around,
those folks in Alabama got off naming a city after
a few millenniums old, city in Greece.
(you can read more here History of Athens)
i don't intend to offend nor to insult you,
just trying to make a point

i realize that pics in media don't show the real deal happening in the country,
people is just fed up by politicians and political parties trying to stir a 2 year
open wound that they caused to the country .
just for their benefit , in order to intimidate the citizens.

Alexzio, I am sure that Stromin'Nroman was kidding about Athens Georgia predating Athens, Greece.

Unfortunately what you are seeing out of the Greek Parliament is what we all get out of our own respective governments. Poor, misguided, selfish, ignorant and self-serving decisions designed to do nothing but protect themselves.

The sad thing about government is that it is of, by and for itself. Any benefit to the citizenry is merely a lucky and unintended by product of politicians protecting their turf.

no offense intended...

@Banks
couldn't agree more on everything you mentioned...

@Nyparrothead
you can encounter them in so many versions that my surprise you.
probably because it fits the needs on so many riders,
with lots of reliability and without extreme cost.
