I talked with about 5 insurance brokers today about new bike insurance.
The bids were all over the scale from 300 to 1000 per year.
No wrecks, no tickets, 35 years with a valid motorcycle license.
I think some of them were trying to pork me
may I ask what your insurance is per year ?

When I was looking for insurance, I had the same problem. A few companies did not carry the DL1000 in their books and quoted me the same as for the TL1000. What a big difference. Since the bike was fairly new, nobody had it classified yet ( sports, touring etc). I pay about 400 a year in oklahoma city.

Yeah I have been with Farmers for years. I have home owners, life insurance, 2 cars and a motorcycle policies with them. I have no tickets and one cycle accident (last year) on the books. The Strom is actually just a hair more per year than my VFR was. Farmers wouldn't even cover the FJR or FZ1 under prefered rates (those were the other choices I was looking at).

Rider - did you get my PM I sent about hooking up to compare Stroms?

bike-line.com

check out www.bike-line.com (don't forget the hyphen or you go to a bicycle site).

My coverages are much lower by choice but I am paying $50 a year for liability only $15/30.
