I'm looking at heading down to Buffalo to see if I can find any bike shops that might have end of season deals. The overall bike shop selection in Toronto is rather dismal.

can anyone tell me if there's anything worth riding to Buffalo or Detroit for?

Haven't popped my head in a motorcycle dealership in this summer [not much to do on a Vstrom!], so I don't know what's in/out of stock. In Detroit there's a few really nice dealerships - a few of my favorites not too far from the Detroit tunnel/bridge border crossing are:

Rosenau Power Sports : ATVs, boats, PWCs, motorcycles, side by sides, trailers Rosenau Powersports Dearborn Heights, MI (313) 278-5000
Nicholson's in Ann Arbor : Nicholson
Bright Power Sports : Bright Power POsrts, Michigan Yamaha Kawasaki Motorcycle ATV Dealer - Bright Powersports - Watercraft Snowmobile
Motor City Power Sports : Bright Power POsrts, Michigan Yamaha Kawasaki Motorcycle ATV Dealer - Bright Powersports - Watercraft Snowmobile
[I used to work the Honda parts counter at Motor City PS, back in the day when it was known as Anderson's PS]

These four are the biggest and best on the far cooler 'West Side' of the Detroit Metro Area. Are you lookin' to get new or used? Did see a 'showroom clean' 2008 Vee w/ 15k at Motor City for $6,399.00....

A Vicious Cycle in New Dundee and Dual Sport Plus in Stoney creek don't do it for you? They have pretty much everything you need for the V-Strom, and you don't need to cross the boarder......

Bob Weaver Motorsports (Yamaha) in Niagara Falls is the only Jap dealer I've found close. Can't say they had a huge selection when I was there, but it's been a while. There are a couple Hardley dealers in the area too.

Best deals might be found right at home at the bike shows Dec and Jan.
