SRC Skid plate for 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Adventure XT

I note that bike in the picture is sitting on a centerstand and it doesn't appear the skid plate comes anywhere near it, so that question is answered.

I emailed SRC about it and found out it does mount to the engine, no go for me.

Thanks for the information. What did you use instead? Can you suggest better solution?

Haven’t bought yet but likely going with Outback Motortek, best you can buy per my research.

Have you thought of changing the OEM engine mounted bracket to enable it to mont on the crash bar? Many have made their own crash bar mounting brackets to allow for various skid plates / sump guards to fit to their crash bars.
I made a mounting bracket to move the front mounting of my Hyde skid plate from an exhaust mount to enable mounting on my crash bar.
Granted, the Hyde skid plate is lighter in construction to those metal ones, but the principal is the same. All it takes is some thought and cardboard to design / fabricate a basic template. Once you have your template, you can make a suitable bracket that works for you.
