I installed a 43 tooth rear sprocket on my V a while back. I figured I'd put on a Speedo Healer at the same time to compensate for the increased speedo error.

My question is regarding induced odometer error from the Healer. I figured I had about 13% total speedo error so I set the Speedo Healer for a -10% correction, figuring it would make me close to accurate and still leave a little margin for error. Since the odometer is pretty accurate from the start and I introduced about 5% error with the sprocket, would I be correct in assuming my odometer now reads about 5% under the actual mileage?

Let me know if you think my reasoning is correct.

I'd think it would be more accurate to just go out on the highway and check the odometer reading against the mileposts.
