Speedo Accuracy

This has been discussed I'm sure but I've not found any reference in older threads. The speedo error at highway speeds is significant with the 650. How much change in accuracy can be expected by going to a 16 or 17 tooth front sprocket? I would like to lower rpm at cruising speeds and perhaps gain some speedo accuracy also.

The 650's speedo sensor is on the front wheel. Gearing changes make zero difference.
