"July 15 and August 7, law enforcement officers throughout the state (of Washington) will be part of a statewide effort in search of speeding drivers."

"While traffic crash deaths decrease overall, deaths of motorcycle riders in Washington continue to rise. The top rider errors that lead to motorcycle rider deaths and serious injuries are impaired riding and speeding."

Washington Traffic Safety Commission

They must have gotten a federal grant for overtime pay so city, county, and state officers can put more time in on speed emphasis patrols. To be forewarned is to be forearmed--dig out those radar detectors.

Thanks for the warning. I wonder if they'll target primary, secondary or scenic back roads on this one. Sounds like motorcycles are going to be the emphasis of their efforts. My guess is that they'll be on interstate and several highways such as Hwy 9, 97, 2 and the likes.

Because if there's anything WA needs, it's SLOWER drivers...
