Me and two friends rode out through Douglas county today to escape the cold shores of Lake Superior. Once we climbed up "south range" ridge the weather turned beautiful. Everyone opened up vents and shed layers. Still alot of snow in the woods. We did some tarmac as well as gravel road riding. Three different bikes: My L2 Glee (Vstrom 650), KLR 650, Triumph street triple. All had their attributes. The Triumph is a one wheel machine. Stiff suspension but a true muscle bike. The Glee, stable predictable, almost drives itself. KLR, very comfortable riding position, adequate power. Here is a picture along the historic Brule River.
