Haha yeah ground was really soft with organic materials, I thought it felt good, as I walked away it just layer over. Thankfully the only damage was the brake lever broke off the tip.

yes construction look, I would add one row on panniers horizontally close to bottom, you can never have enough yellow and black on Y&B strom 😉It's reflective too!
and don't forget some covid stickers

My previous V-strom had the plastic OEM cowling. I found I actually protect the lower part of the bike from rocks and debris. I did some fair bit of off road and it never broke itself.
What you can't do is using the cowling as a bask plate or a skid plate, jumping over log and expect the plastic to hold the weight of the bike .. just won't work.
Ride on dirt, gravel, unpaved roads... no worries.

Hasn't been a concern for me but I'm certain it helps deflect the occasional rock. My adventures don't require a bash plate.

The decals were passed on to us from the previous owner who didn't add them to the bike. My wife and me add some of the decals to our bikes to make them look different
