Has anyone tried a Shinko Raven 009 160/60 or 170/60 on the rear? Shinko doesn't make the Raven in the stock 150/70 size and I do all street riding. I have used several sets of the 705's and may have to go back to them. I get fantastic mileage out of these tires, but they tend to get a little noisy. Thansks

Well they certainly get good reviews on Revzilla, and the price is right too. I don't know enough about tire sizing to know how those non-standard sizes would fit on a Strom. Are they a lower and wider profile compared to the 150/70-17?

What kind of mileage do you get on the 705's? I just put a set on my new to me glee Strom. The Ravens worked great on my Bandit 1200.

Haven't used the Ravens and I would guess that they would be too wide.

I use Shinko 712's. They are a 90/10 tire. Very nice tires especially for the price. The rear comes in the OEM 150/70. I get the front in the 100/90 as it's closer to the diameter of the OEM 110/80.

I did try a set of the 705's the 712's are much nicer on the street and wear better.

I have had about 4 sets of the 705s on 3 different Wees. I got twice as many miles on the front as the rear. The last set was on a 8,500 mile trip to the east coast, gulf coast and and north thru California. The rear had about 6,000m and the front close to 15,000m when I sold it. Both tires had a couple thousand left. The fronts always cupped and make noise, but handled just fine. I will review the 712s now.
