Anyone have any recommendations on flush mounted blinkers?

I was pushing the bike forward to get the valve stem in a more convenient spot to check the air pressure....I guess I was sloppy and the kickstand moved back as I was pushing her....so there was no stand when I went to rest her to the left again...so she laid down. :eek:rig_frown:

Busted the left blinker, and she wouldn't start. I read some other posts about "cycling the ignition" and assume that just means turning the ignition off and back on?

One thing to check is the clutch interlock connection to the clutch lever area. If unplugged just plug it back in again. It's under the lever near the pivot area.

Had a similar 'driveway tipover'......My Pat Walsh Designs crash bars prevented that from happening. But, I coulda bought a lot of turn signals instead!

Flush mounts [called marker-lights, for legal reasons] usually don't provide as good of light output/visibility compared to the stockers [and they may be illegal in some states]

There's a few threads on this BB that offer advice on low profile turn signals w/ flexible stalks.

I check lots of tires on lots of bikes and I always, always, always roll bikes backwards to prevent what happened to you.

Tom, you don't know how much time and frustration you saved with this comment. Thanks!!!

I definitely would have come home and beat up that TOS, which wouldn't have fixed the issue, and then wasted time and money taking it somewhere to plug that connection back in for me. Thanks again!

No problem! I've been at exactly your position and a phone call to Heavy gave me the answer.

The factory turn signals are too darn expensive. I've been tempted to get flush-mounts, but have never pulled the trigger. The other day, I ran across a "short" turn signal that may be a nifty compromise. Search on Ebay for "2004-2011 Suzuki DL650 Clear LED Turn Signals Short".

Bright?

I went a little crazy and replaced mine with the Watsen Design LEDs. They're not cheap but I doubt I'll ever damage them without totaling the bike.

Universal LED Signals
Are they at least as bright as stock? I'd like to keep the blinkers damage free in case I do something stupid again, but I don't want to sacrifice safety over it.
