Scratched Suzuki side case

Hello all, I bought a pair of used genuine Suzuki side cases, the black plastic ones with a small silver alluminum cover. One of them is scratched due to the previous owner having totaled its 1050 in an accident (he's ok but got himself a different bike now), does anyone know if the alluminum cover for the case can be found as a replacement from Suzuki or elsewhere? I looked for it but couldn't find it anywhere and I would like to restore the case since it only has a few scratches. Thanks if you can help.

I suspect the chances of finding the aluminium covers separately is minimal. I'd be tempted to take it off, flat off any sharp edges, then fill it with some aluminium wheel filler, flat it off again and paint it (probably have to paint the other side just so the shade matches). Something like this: CAR ALUMINUM Alloy Wheel Repair Filler 250G Special Aluminium Filler | eBay

Just to follow on from that, I did a similar repair to my old DL1000 exhause heat shield which had a shallow gouge in it from being in the back of a van rubbing against another bike. The filler did a great job, and blown over with Wurth heat paint, or whatever it's called, you couldn't see it had been repaired. Only downside is you'll end up with 99.9% of 2lb of aluminium filler left over!
I asked the dealer to let me know if there is any chance of finding the covers, since they are not available as spares. I surely can have them sanded, filled and repainted
Just to provide an update in case someone at some point needed this info: I eventually managed to find the parts through the dealer. In my country those two thin, light, aluminum covers cost around 270 euros for a pair. And only sold as a pair. Needless to say I asked a professional to fix the cover and the case.

270 € .... Wow. What a bargain! I don't know how they can get away with that.

I saw OEM boxes where the guy covered them with vinyl wrap and it looked very impressive.
