hi all...

i hate to even bring this guys name up..but am looking for some advice.

when i purchased my 08 wee it came with a dl1000 shock modified by sasquach, it was off the bike and the PO told me it was due for a service/rebuild.

im looking for a suggestion of where to send it. not knowing anything about what he did to these shocks im not sure if i can send it to cogent or if there is a better/less expensive option. the PO says it just is due for a normal service...whatever that means.

not knowing anything about his mods i would appreciate it if some other riders with this shocks could give me some input.
thanks

Take it too a local shop that does off road work and have a tech look it over. It can probably be rebuilt just fine.

Shouldn't cost you anything to ask.

Astro,

We can service that shock for you as needed. A simple service will run about $100- $150 depending on what parts are needed. Another shop that knows those shocks can also help but make sure they understand the captured floating piston and added fill port. Those were "non-serviceable" shocks originally. This time of year we turn those projects around in just a few days.

We do have a Roehrig damper dynamometer and test our work and from my experience with some of the Sasquatch reworked stuff you may benefit from a little tweaking of the setup.

Sorry for being snoopy but I thought I may be able to help with some info.

Thank you so much for your business! The KLR Moab is our biggest selling shock and I am always surprised on the avid motorcyclists who pop up with those! We do have the Worlds Edge that is the "Moab" equivelent for the 'Strom...

I really miss my Strom, I traded it off for a Ducati 999s track bike. I am talking with a cool customer of ours who got a new BMW since he suggested a posible trade for suspension work :yesnod:

Rick, I don't see anything on your site about the world's edge.

Yea, I have not had time to put into the web site in quite a while. It even crashed and lost a lot of updates I had done. We sell the shocks directly or they are available via our friends at ProCycle. There are a number of folks on this forum who have them. Unfortunately for us we are not too swift at the marketing thing. We just like making awesome suspension.
