I had sent out one injector to get cleaned and tested and installed. Bike runs so much better. While we had the tank off we put longer vacuum hoses on so if a sync is done the lines are right there. Well last night cleaning the bike I removed one of the plugs on the vacuum line and took it for a ride. A lot smoother, big difference. So does it mean I need a sync done or maybe need to send out the other injector. Any ideas would help. Thanks

2005 and no it is not a california bike. I thought I saw a discussion awhile back about putting the 2 vacuum lines together if I understood that right. Any help would be appreciated.

The vacuum lines need to be separate to do a sync. Normall, they would be plugged separately. Did you unplug them both or just one? it sounds like you are too rich at low rpm. That's pretty weird on a Vee.

Noticed the same thing when I accidentally didn't connect the vacuum tube to the intake air pressure sensor. The bike was only running in neutral, it never ran smoother, but didn't take for a ride.
Was concerned that it would mess something up with the ECU.

I plugged the rear back up, I did not sync yet. my question is does it make any difference if i hook the 2 lines together? i need to get another piece of line and connectors. i just took the nipples off and ran lines to the seat so when i do the sync you don't have a hard time getting to them. i did not want to ride far with the one plugged up fearing a piece of dirt would get sucked in. it does smell likes it running rich before and after removing the plug on the vacuum lines. i am going to have the other injector sent out to get cleaned and tested. i used the company in houston and the turn around time was good. is there any body else i should look at for cleaning and testing injector. thanks tim
