I somehow am missing the rubber spacer things on the top bag mount for my Givi bags. I have googled it and can't find any. The dealership has no idea what I am talking about or how to to find them other than a kit that they want to sell me. Home Depot doesn't seem to have anything close.....

Some suggestions? It is causing my top bag to wobble a bit.

I have the rubber nubbies but my topbox still shook around a bit. I used a piece of that hard foam, the type you can roll up and take camping. It's a blue colour, about 1/2" thick and stands up well to rain and abuse.

I cut a nice square of it and it fits under the topbox wonderfully. The rattling around has ceased so I'm happy.

Mine went missing as well, did some serching and found a good replacement. I used the rubber door stopper from a 2002 Dodge Caravan. The grommet is for the sliding door. The Chrysler dealer charge me $5.00. I ground it down to the original size on my bench grinder. Works perfect.

Rubber Buffers for GIVI top case mounting plate

Sledjockey,

If you're referring to the 4 rubber buffers with tapered plug ends which are inserted into holes on the mounting plate for the GIVI top case, I discovered that several of mine pulled out of their mounting holes in the process of removing the top case. It appears that the buffers adhere ("stick") to the case bottom (from prolonged compression contact with the case) and come out of their holes with the case during it's removal. I immediately noticed them laying on the ground next to the bike.

I contacted my dealer who had several left in stock that were in a opened GIVI parts bag marked as "Rubber Buffers (set of 4) GIVI". The bar code on the bag had the part number "Z128" and it was dated 11/17/04. The price was shown as $2.50 for the original set of four. Apparently, he had ordered these from GIVI at one time. Hope this helps in your search.

Regards,
DWlaschin

You can buy the little rubber feet at Home Depot or most any hardware store.

I did try Home Depot, but they kept trying to sell me some weather stripping... Go figure.

I will contact Givi as well as the dealership. I appreciate the part number for the local place is hard pressed to find people in their parts department that can search things out such as this. They are all younger guys that just aren't as experienced in motorcycle parts scavenger hunting. Nice guys, though, once you have a part number.......

Contact Midwest Cycle Supply (full line Givi dealer), they sell those rubber buttons. "Uncle Dave" of this board just bought a pack a week or two ago from them.

GIVI rubber bumpers

I ordered a four pack of these from Adventure MotoStuff: their part number is "GIVI Z126 Rubber Bumper Set (4-pack) - Z126"
