Has anyone found a better way to install these~? I've done the side racks with minor scratches to the powder coat, and some very very close calls to my palm. I started using a paint can cover remover to eliminate the scratches to the top mount, but there are still close calls to my palm. Thanks in advance.

I wish I could say yes to your question... I tried several different approaches when installing mine last week and the very small screwdriver, with a broad blade, worked best. A small dab of dielectric silicone grease worked better than regular lube...
