I've had some issues with my TPS in the past and the bike wanting to die so I thought i'd adjust it to get a little more life out of it before I replace it. I moved it to the upper lever mark at 1600 rpm and the bike has a much smother response and doesn't pop and backfire when engine braking. When in neutral and holding the engine at 3k or 4k the bike pops and backfires and moves up and down the tachometer by about 1k. I would assume that its just the TPS still going, but is it possible that the air intake sensor is going too? It's definitely running rich and only gets 47mpg. Any thoughts?
