I'm leading a group from Georgia over to Little River Canyon in Alabama this Saturday (5/12) and need some quick feedback regarding the rim road from Eberhart Point down to Canyon Mouth. In researching roads for the ride I came across descriptions of this southern portion of the rim road as a "goat trail", poorly maintained and to be avoided. I spoke to the preserve's ranger who described the road as narrow and steep with a compacted gravel surface having many loose rocks. She said it is not recommended for RVs and motorcycles (?). The group is mixed, some riding V-Stroms, some cruisers. My question of anyone who has gone over this section: would cruiser riders with no off-road experience have a tough time?
