There are a lot of places that look really scary to ride. Those brave souls, even on the right bike, that go there should have good insurance or a really tight pact with God. 0:)

A long, long time ago I would have ridden that section. A long time ago I would have walked the bike through there. At this point in time I have no trouble admitting that there are things that I am not going to do.

That would be where the downward curve of decreasing physical abilities and confidence meets the upward curve of appreciating just what you can still do.

Even if you are not king of the hill you can still enjoy the heck out of the ride.

I wouldn't ride that trail on a Strom or any ADV bike really.

On an actual dirt bike sure. Not on the outside line like he was though!

Video is pretty deceptive, that is a jeep trail. Plenty of room for a bike.
True, but that section is somewhat steep and narrow with some pretty big obstacles to throw you off your line. Lots of people dump their bikes there.

I can only remember one other guy whose bike ended up in the punchbowl, though. Most stay up on the rocks.

I can't remember any details of the story clearly.

(👴Have you seen my glasses anywhere, sonny? :sneaky:)

What I think I remember:
1. it happened.
2. it was a big BMW.
3. the US Forest Service was on him to get it out of the river, like now!

I just did a bunch of Google searches and can't find it. Anyone else?
