A few months back I lost one of those little bumpers for the side bags. And since I gotta make some new friends in Leadington, MO next week, I thought it was time to fix the bag issue. I'm sure there's better ways of doing what I did but I was using the tools I have on hand. At first, I tried using all miter box and hacksaw to get the rough shape but it was way quicker and easier to use the vice and a recip saw. Then, I used a 1/4" chisel (sharpened many times with a grinding wheel) to hollow out the puck. A Dremel was used here and there and the grinding wheel was used to get the tapered shape finalized. A bit of epoxy to (hopefully) make installation permanent and some clamps. Done and done! Total cost $1.50 and an evening puttering around the garage. Note: use a mask if you're using a grinding wheel or Dremel to shape/cut the puck. See you guys at the rally!

I'd be happy to make another except I used epoxy to attach them to the bike and I wouldn't be able to use the other one as a template. Womp womp.....
