i'm going to do the job this fall to my 1050 strom. which tapered rollers did you go with?
I used Timken on my 650. You can verify the OEM part numbers for the 650 and 1050, if they're the same then here's the Timken part number.

After a quick check, the bearing part numbers appear to be the same for the 650 & 1050 (double check) you can probably go to any good auto parts store and get a set of tapered roller bearings that size. 30x55x17

Thank you. This helps. Do you know if the OEM seals also still work with the Timken bearings?
Yes they do.
I first ordered the AllBalls kit that came with the seals, wasn't happy with the fit of the seals don't remember exactly why. I believe it was the ID of the lower seal was larger than the stem size so if you didn't have it aligned perfectly when you seated the bearing the seal would be offset when you went to install everything. I returned it and bought the OEM seals and the Timken bearings. There are other good bearings out there just get that size. Also the torque spec will not apply you have to go by feel. Seals 2&20 which are the same P/N is all you need, 18 is just a dust cover that is reusable.

Check out the link I attached above, looks like you might be in the aviation biz so this should be a simple modification.
