Hiya

First up, I did a bit of a search but only found some quite old threads...

I have the opportunity get some brand new Remus Revolution GP mufflers at what seems to be a pretty good price but have a couple of questions:

Obvious one: noise? I want nice not naughty.

Fitment: the ad says that they are for an '02 model - any reason they won't fit my '08?

Also appreciate any other words of wisdom...

Ad details below:

New Remus Revolution GP Mufflers for SUZUKI DL 1000 V-STORM 2002

Revolution GP - High Technology for Maximum power!
REMUS Revolution GP is the code name for this high performance silencer, made by the Austrian sport exhaust manufacturing specialist. The technology transfer, coming from REMUS racing activities, and the perfect workmanship play a huge part in the silencer construction. The EEC approved Revolution GP weighs about 2.2kg depending on sleeve material. This silencer offers shattering sound and a noticeable power and torque increase throughout the entire engine range.

For those who need extra power on the race track, the removal of the riveted sound tube transforms the Revolution GP into a full on, full noise, straight through racing silencer. The compact designed, high quality stainless steel silencer is available in three different sleeve materials aluminium, carbon, titanium and is now available for many different motorcycle applications

They're not too loud, I like the sound a lot. Nice rumble low, quieter in the higher RPMs. They should fit all years from some previous googling.

I can confirm they sound good...baffles will be staying in.

Haven't had a chance for a decent ride but the bikes seems to like 'em!

Buddy of mine has carbon Remus pipes on his 05 1k, and they sound really nice, not obnoxious at all, just about right.

Quick vid of bike running in driveway - I'll try to get some video of a decent ride this weekend...

Towards the end I hold her at about 3,000 revs which equates to around town speed - not too loud I think. Certainly quieter than my VTR with titanium Two Bros. Baffles will be staying in.

Dog passes judgement at the end...

I am sorry things are so pricey in NZ

I have a, F ME, F you, rule. If something is SO overpriced I would refuse to buy it whether I really wanted or not.

If I am being gouged I just won't play
