I am thinking of removing my crash bars and replacing them with the svracing frame sliders. I know that main engine bolt runs all the way thru the frame. Is there any harm in pulling this out? Any precautions I should take? Don't want my motor to drop....

Even if I don't go to frame sliders, I'm going to have to replace the crash bar on the left side because it broke. Dealer has ordered me a new one. Since it is a warranty item, they may insist on installing it themselves, but if it is just a simple bolt and unbolt job, I would rather just do it myself.

I just did that a couple of months ago. I was thinking the engine would fall out, but mine did not. In any case. I think the idea is that as you pull out the long bolt from one side, you slide in the new bolt behind it so there is always some bolt holding up the engine. You should see how rusty the factory engine bolt was on mine. It looked like it came out of the ocean! Instructions will come with the SVRacing sliders anyway.
