Recommendation for a heel/toe shifter

Can anyone recommend a good heal/toe shifter for my 2013 dl650. My ankle is so stiff I have to shift using my boot heal..

THANKS

I found a bunch of these on eBay for under $20 - not sure if they would be the definitive answer......but it's probably pretty close.

The 650 uses a linkage system on the gear shifter, if you try to just bolt a new lever to the gear shift spline the gears will be reversed.

Someone may have done what are asking but it is probably a custom solution.

For someone with the right skills it would be possible.

Fair call on the race shift pattern....but if it works it's just a matter of getting used to it.

From what I gather the later 650 levers were steel - maybe a heel shifter could be welded on to one of those without too many problems??
Have you tried raising your lever so that you have to lift your foot off the peg to shift?

Wearing stiff off road boots (that don't flex much) usually you adjust the lever so the boot fits under without the toe pointing down much.

This on my 1000 that has TourTech slanted pegs. But still the lever is above the peg.

First - Why do you want a heel-toe shifter? What is driving the need?

Second - There is a thread here on Stromtrooper where an individual modified his stock shifter to be a heel-toe shifter. It is a recurring topic. Several threads have been started asking what you asked. At least one owner took the idea all the way to a solution.

But again, why do you want it? If it is because you can't get your boot under the shifter check this out.

Thanks everyone for the input. I like the Tourtech option. May have to try that. Wish I did not need to change the Shifter but my Ankle no longer has the flexibility.

I have given some thought to this to eliminate all the linkage and to provide a shifter with a folding tip. I understand the DR650 lever works as a replacement but as you say the pattern is reversed. I would like folding tips on both the brake and shifter for off road.
Yes it's unfortunate that with the 650 you get the reverse pattern.

You can swap the 1000 without that issue.
