Hi all, I took my rear wheel off for a new tire install, and I read that the correct torque for the nut is 72.5 ft lbs. That seemed a bit much. The nut came off a lot easier than the pressure being put on it by the torque wrench to tighten it.
Just wondering if I have the spec right.

Thanks and cheers!

There have been reports of the threads galling, worse some years and not so bad in others (different supplier?). Greywolf has good results with using antiseize on the threads, then reducing the torque spec to 56 lbs-ft because of the the lubrication on the threads.
