My 1k currently has 3300 miles on it. Should the oil in the rear shock be changed or is the oil's viscosity still good right now? Does Suzuki use synthetic oil in the rear shock? The fork oil has been changed.

Opinion IMO

I don't think a shock "wears out" in 3300

In pavement mostly I wouldn't eyeball it until like 15000 maybe 9K for lumpy dirt.

Unless its new to you at the rate you are using it I wouldn't worry at all.

Modified improves ride and usually results in a rebuildable shock

NOTE If its leaking then it needs repair.

Went to a Suzuki dealership and they said don't worry about it till 10K or more.
