Out of curiosity, Why is the rear cam removal and replacement done at a different crank position than at their clearance check? As the fronts can be removed/replaced at the same crank position as for clearance check, it seems odd to me that the rears cannot. There has to be a logical reason.
As per my manual pg. 2-10 it states "Reinstall the camshafts as the specific maner pg 3-105". Actual pg for rear cam replacement is 3-108 and states "From the position where the no 1 (front) camshafts have now been installed, rotate the generator rotor 360 degrees (1 turn) and align the "FIT" line on the generator with the index mark of the valve timing inspection hole." for rear cam replacement. Rear cam Removal can be found on pg. 3-22 and 23 and follows the same sequence. The documented cam R & R can be found here also.

Engine valves adjustment: Can you help me understand the procedure?
