Rear Brake Dragging

I just had my Wee in the shop. The mech told me that when he pushed the bike into the shop the rear wheel slid on the floor. My back brake was hanging up. He lubed and cleaned the caliper, and if it happens again I should get a rebuild kit for the rear caliper. He said he has seen this issue before on Stroms.

He was mistaken. Before you buy that rebuild kit get a pair of snap ring pliers (they are cheeper) and pull the brake peddle off the pivot shaft. Clean and lub the shaft. Probably fix the problem right up.
I've had this issue with the gear shift also. Seems the factory lub can become pretty gunky and sticky over time and cause the peddles to stick.

Yes When the pedal sticks it will keep the brake applied but it will also keep the brake light on so you will know its sticking.

Disc brakes are not adjustable unless you call cleaning and lubricating adjusting.

Every winter I dis-assemble, clean and lube the pivot points on my bikes: Clutch and brake levers, foot brake and kickstand/centerstand. Some bikes have shifter linkage to lube, some don't. The kickstands are the most work but it really takes under an hour to do 'em all.
