Check with the Gifford Pinchot National Forest office before heading for Forest Road 25 (south from Randle). It may take them until late July to clear the snow and maybe longer to complete repairs to damage they find under the snow.

I'll be there as well. I am hoping to get over on Wednesday, no later than Thursday and stay until Saturday when I have to leave due to a work conflict on Sunday. I will be "camping" on the fairgrounds in a brown and tan motorhome next door to a 5th wheel toy hauler (my friend Andy) so if you see that setup with a silver Vee around stop by and say hello!

I'll arrive Friday night. Wish I had days to take off from work. Oh well, that's the way it goes. Anyone feel like holding space for one more tent in their area?

Hey Sean, so far I have no idea where or who ill be camping with. Pm me your # and I will text you if I can hold down an extra spot for ya.

That goes for everyone out there in Stromtrooperland. It'd be cool if we could get a Strom Zone going.:yesnod:

I'm looking forward to riding there a little more than the event it self. I'm planning on taking the full day to head down from Seattle. here is one route im looking at. assuming that its clear of snow.. Might be a bit ambitious.

Rally at the Gorge at Stevenson, WA - Google Maps
i love that ride! no guarantees from me on the 25 being open, but i know some of the more primitive roads up there and in the mt. adams area are open, like the 23 and 90, so i would assume that the 25 is at least mostly clear of snow to make it from randle down, but you may not be able to take that spur highway up to get closer to the mountain.

wish i could go to this gathering! i didn't realize such a thing existed, maybe i can catch it next year..

I called FS and they think FR25 might be open by this weekend. If we get some hot weather it might help too but will see. It will be close. There may be winter damage to repair too. If its not open ill just take 12 over to Yakima and go down 97.

25 usually is pretty damaged in my experience. they usually only fix the really bad spots. but it's still one of my favorite "local" rides.

I am actually taking my RV and reserved one of the RV sites. My buddy Andy is also taking his toy hauler 5th wheel and we are planning to set-up side by side if possible. I made a little sign that I will place in the window of my rig so all will know it's me. I definitely want to hook up and all are welcome to stop by my rig anytime. I plan to arrive early Wednesday AM and stay through midday Saturday.

I fixed my leak so it should be nice:green_lol:

Yes, you can register on site but there's no daily rate, its 130 bucks for the whole shebang.

You could also possibly meet up with us(ADVrider group) Sunday morning and ride the beginnings of the WABDR with us.

The fine print on the registration page says that its $100 for those of us showing and registering on site after 12 on Friday. Wish i could take more time off.
