Has anybody mounted a rack on their OEM trunk to secure a dry bag to? I've seen other rear cases with racks mounted on top, but I don't think I have seen one on a strom.
It's easy to add tiedowns to the top of just about any plastic case. I did it on a Givi E52 with some cabinet handles, with large washers underneath to distribute the load.
I know you said OEM trunk, mine is a GIVI, but you also said you never saw a trunk rack on a Strom. I hope this gives you an idea. It is very useful to me. Don't mind the dirt.
Rack looks good & im sure it works well. If you with to avoid that expense thee are always bungee buddies. 4 for 10 bucks & use RoK straps for certain lashing
I had a private query about my cabinet-handle tiedowns, so posting photos for anyone else that might be interested in future. There's really not much to them. I don't put any significant weight up there.
