Hey folks

On way back from dealers I noticed that there is a small amount of sideways play on the throttle (you can move it side to side on its housing by a couple of mm)

I noticed this when going over a few bumps and it didn't seem right.

Called dealer and they said they'd asked Suzuki about this issue on a different model and were told it's now normal, as they no longer install a deadening washer or something to that effect.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Please check, and if yours is solid (no play) please let me know also!

Cheers,

Mal

There's a bit of play on mine too, but no more than was on my SV650s. So I can't say it has bothered me, or that i've really noticed it tbh.

You can shim the play out, but the risk is jamming the throttle.
Learning to ignore it makes more sense - the slop is deliberate to avoid the problem above (Suzuki - not Toyota ;) )

Fair enough I'll live with it- just a bit disconcerting over bumpy ground!

Thanks for your replies folks
