Anyone going?

I've been out of the vstrom loop for a few years but just pulled the bike out of mothballs. Looking forward to some good riding and this event looks like a good one. I'll be going up via back roads from central Mass on the 10th and coming back on the 12th or 13th. Always looking to meet up with other riders on the way up or back.

For others not in the loop, here's a link to DannyC's thread on this. I may be going, it's about three hours away for me. I have to decide if I can take two weekends off in a row as I'm camping and fishing in the Adirondacks for five days the preceding weekend. Your route and mine don't jive at all, but hopefully we'll make it there.

There's a remote chance I might swing by that event at the beginning of a longer trip to the Gaspé area. But I'm coming from the Southeastern Mass so I might not be on the same path as you. I'll look out for any fellow Stromtroopers at that event if I do go.

I am not decided yet, but will reply if I decide to. There's also the "unorganized", as they're calling it, event (MTSFMCW) two weeks later in Vermont's Silver Lake state park that I'm thinking about going to. We'll see if the wife let's me escape twice in two weeks.

Scooterboyusa,
I have attended this event for the past two years. Great welcoming bunch of riders. Good food, a small number of vendors, and a chance to interact with riders on both sides of the border. For me, coming from the Adirondacks, the ride there and back is half the fun. Certainly worth the trip IMHO. :grin2:

mcrag,
Both events are worth the trip, as long as the Boss gives you permission - doesn't responsibility suck>:) The MTSFMCW this year will be different, as it is being held at a new location, and Gary and his minions will not be there. That said, the A team of riders from this group and NEVA will be attending. Should be a great weekend - chill and a lot of great riding on the Puppy Dog Trail. :grin2:
